Lake Luguano, Luguano Switzerland

Luguano Switzerland is located just on the boarder of Italy in switzerland, so there is a italien influence in food and culture! We tried to escape the rainy, weather but it just followed us to Lake Luguano! The kids did really well with doing activites in the pouring rain!

The first activity we did was go to the Alprose Chocolate factory! It was like being in a Willy Wonka Factory! Because of the holiday, the workers were not working, but it was fun to imagine them being Umpa Lumpas! Of course, we sampled and bought chocolate! Both kids enjoyed looking at and climbing on the red/white cow outfront!

The next stop we made was the Miniswissminatur park. It showed different places in Switzerland, but they were mini! It was like being giants in the different Swiss Villages! It was also neat to see Switerzerland in this representation, so that we can decide on other travel opportunities.

After being at the miniswissminatur park, we headed to see Svitto Castle (Montebello)in Bellinzona,Switzerland Luckily, it was not raining there. It was fun to be able to climb around the castle and then run around the yard of the castle!

We then decided to go on a cable car ride. The sign at the cable car ride stated "memory loss" which stopped Mark and I in our tracks. We were not sure we wanted to ride the cable car with the memory loss, but then realized it was just the sign that was having memeory loss. This was our first time on a cable car! It was so cloudy from the rain that the car desended into the clouds, where Sarah asked if we were going to see God. It looked like we were going to disapear into heavan, since you couldn't see in front of you. Once on top, there were amazing views since we were above the clouds. There was a resturant to eat at and a play area for the kids to play on. What a fun experience!

Our hotel had an indoor pool, so relaxed each night in the pool before bed. What a great way to end the day!
