Cimiez

Cimiez is formaly ancient Roman Capital. It's a great area to explore! Many different sites to see. For more information and history of Cimiez : http://www.squidoo.com/cimiez

What we saw:

The Old Monastery Garden -A Beatiful Nice France Garden -

The garden was beautiful with fantastic views of Nice. It will even better in the spring since not all the flowers were in bloom!

Notre Dame de Cimiez Church Monastere de Cimiez

The church was great to see also. The church is beautiful with it artwork and stain glass. It was dark church that felt very holy and sacred with lit candles.

Matisse Museum

The Matisse Museum was interesting and great to see also. When Matisse was going blind he did cut out artwork. Some of it was impressive with the cut out while others were very simple that we could do.

Nice Archeology Museum

The Archeology Museum was neat to see the Roman ruins. Its just incrediable to see in person!

Matisse Museum Cimez Gardens Nice France Gardens in Cimiez

This garden has big areas to run around, and very pretty olive trees and other neat old trees that are huge. A great area to have a picnic!
