We arrived in Munich in time to be at the opening celebration for their Christmas Market! It was neat to hear the mayor talk in German and her the brass band play. The musciians had wore traditonal german outfits.
We ate our first dinner at the Ratskellar for dinner. The food was great and it even had a playroom for hte kids to play in. We
ate most of our meals at this resturant since it everyone enjoyed it and had something to eat for everyone!
The experienced their first ice skating at an outdoor rink near the Christmas Markets. Sarah enjoyed it more the second time they skated! It was great that they had polar bears for the kids to push in orde to learn how to skate.
We found a smaller Christmas market that had a small carasel and a children's orchestra playing Christmas music. Sarah especially enjoyed watching and hearing the children play their insturments, since she is learning to play the piano. You can see in the picture that Sarah was almost too big for that Carosel, but they had fun!
Overall, the market was great with it's Christmas music, Christmas Decorations, and items to buy. What a great experience for all of us!
