We spent Easter Weekend in NJ to help celebrate Aunt Karen's 60th Birthday! The weather was beautiful, so it was nice to spend time running around outside and going to the boardwalk at the beach! The kids had fun playing games, eating pizza, riding rides, and playing in the sand. Sarah was the only one in the bumber cars that could figure out how to drive the car. It was fun to see her circle all the boys who were stuck in the middle! We had a great time seeing everyone!
Today we decided to let the kids dye easter eggs and decorate them! They turned out great! Sarah and Sean both enjoyed watching the eggs turn a different color and then once dried, decorating them with stickers/markers. Also they enjoyed using the wax crayon to make designs and then seeing the design come out on the egg once dyed. We all had a great time.
Sarah and Sean have been to two Easter Egg hunts this week. The first was a friend of Sarah's from school who does it at their house yearly. They have a great yard for it. The kids enjoyed their pizza lunch, playing with the other kids, and of course looking for Eggs! The kids enjoyed the candy/treasures that were inside the eggs.
Sarah and Sean went to the neighbor's Easter Egg hunt today. They enjoyed looking for eggs in the yard and woods with the neighborhood kids.
The pictures posted were from today's egg hunt. I forgot to bring my camera to the first egg hunt!
Sarah has really enjoyed taking Ballet. Every week one of the girls get picked for Ballerina of the day where they get to wear a crown and special ballerina costume. Sarah was Ballerina of the day today! She was so excited!
We celebrated the first day of spring by going to Burke Lake Park, Burke, VA. The kids had fun playing on the playgrounds, throwing rocks and sticks into the lake, and running around in the warm weather. We took a picnic lunch and at at a table lakeside. We met the Tutu's there for the picnic. We all had a great time!
The kids have been enjoying our spring like weather. We have been playing outside a lot this week with the warmer temperatures. Sean didn't really enjoy our 24 1/2 inches of snow, but he does enjoy the small pile of snow that is still in the backyard. We can't wait for spring to arrive.
