Sarah's Haircut

On Friday, after meeting friends at the Fantasy Playground, Sarah and I decided that she needed to cut her hair short for the summer. We spent two hours at the playground, and her hair was wet from sweat, since its so thick. I was able to get a haircut appointment that day, so we got it cut short. Sarah has really enjoyed her new haircut!

Splash Park

Our splash park opened Memorial Day weekend! Both Sarah and Sean have really enjoyed playing at the splash park. The water has been warm and not as cold as last year, so that has been a bonus. Sean was not sure about it at first, but I put him in the middle where all the water puddles and he really enjoyed it. He now goes in the fountains. I had him standing in the middle of one that makes a rainbow over you! It was great! Sarah is a splash park pro and has enjoyed playing with other kids her age every time we have gone. We are lucky to have it within walking distance! I will take a camera next time we go and get some pictures!

Humming Birds

Last year was our first year with attracting the humming birds to our house. We had some, but not a lot. This year we have the hummingbirds constantly. Every time we eat, we see them at the feeder. Both kids will shout humming birds when they see one. It is really cute! Sometimes we have two that come at once. The kids have really enjoyed them!

Summer fun!

Sarah finished her second year of preschool the end of May. I can't believe she only has 1 more year left before she heads to kindergarten!

Last week, Sarah went to Zoo camp at her school. They studied a different animals each day! She had a great time. Sarah will continue Zoo camp for another week! The end of June, Sarah will do Soccer camp and in July she will go to storybook camp with her friend, Katie.

On the weekends. we are going to try to get out to see the sites in the surrounding areas!

Last night we met some of Sarah's school friends at a restaurant called Generous Georges. ( http://www.generousgeorge.com/) in Alexandria, VA. Sarah had a good time with Katie and Sydney. They got to wear chef hats and make their own pizzas. They had a great time making the pizzas! Sean enjoyed watching the gumball machine that was a size of a juke box. Some older boys were putting quarters in to get gumballs. We all had a great time!

Today we went to Signal Hill Park in Manassas, VA .There was a 1 mile walk that we did through the woods. Even though it was a short walk, it was pretty. Sean kept saying he saw sheep. It was cute! After our walk we went and played on the playground. They had a big firetruck to climb on which the kids enjoyed! We met another NC State family at the playground! The kids had a great time!

Sarah's friends!

Sarah is a "social butterfly" as my grandmother Gayman would say! She has many friends and enjoys all the play dates and get togethers with them. Sarah has three girl friends, Sydney, Skylar, and Katie. whom she has formed a great friendship with. They have a great time every time we get together with them. Enjoy the pictures

ZOO

My mom came for a visit this past weekend! We spent the day at the ZOO on Saturday! We had fun seeing the many different animals. The highlight for Sarah was seeing the pandas. She loved them. Sean's favorite animal was the meerkats. He thought they were very funny when they were nose to nose with him behind the glass. We all really enjoyed the picnic lunch we had at the zoo! Also we all had a great time!
